Christina Louise Marston, a 43-year-old British woman has been found dead after she fell off a docked boat in a marina in Majorca, Spain.
According to Daily Star UK, the body of Christina Louise Marston from Southampton was found yesterday after she went on a night out in the tourist hotspot.
She and her husband, who were believed to be living on a boat, had docked at the Club de Mar Marina in Palma on Friday.
Her husband woke up on Saturday morning to find her missing, and reported her disappearance just before midday.
He feared his wife had gone overboard and a major underwater hunt was launched by cops.
Police divers couldn’t find her, but at around 4pm a Civil Guard vessel patrolling the marina spotted Ms Marston’s body in the water.
CCTV footage of the marina shows she was alone when she fell into the water.
A source close to the investigation said it is thought Ms Marston died as a result of a tragic accident, but nothing can be ruled out until further tests have been taken.
The couple’s boat has been searched by police forensic experts, and an investigating judge at a criminal court in Palma has been put in charge of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
The Civil Guard’s Homicide Squad has also been tasked with the police side of things until investigators are satisfied there has been no foul play.
An autopsy is set to take place today.
